High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) Videos:
At high performance driving events, you can take an ordinary streetcar out on professional race tracks in a controlled environment. As a novice, you'll have an instructor ride with you in the car to provide guidance and ensure your safety. While out on the track, you can't simply pass cars any place, the turns, in particular. This wheel-to-wheel racing happens in the next stage of your career - club racing.

Autocross / Solo 2 Videos:
In autocross events, you can take your streetcar and race it in a very safe and controlled environment. You will be competing against other drivers in your respective class by taking a timed lap around a temporary course defined by traffic cones one car at a time. Of course, the goal is to drive the course as fast as you can.
What autocrossing is really like? You have to watch this video produced by Generic Racing! (13.8 MB)
This video has a pretty cool story behind it. An animation producer, Mainframe Entertainment, was starting production of their Hot Wheels TV shows and movies. They asked if they could take footage at an event to give their animators some ideas and visuals. The company attended one of VCMC MotorsportClub's events with cameras blazing. In return, the club received a very cool autocross video. This video is a bit large (50.4 MB), but it's worth it! (If you don't already have it, you may be required to download DivX to watch this video. It is available free of charge here for both Windows and Macs.)

Interested in having your autocross, high performance driving event, or club racing video on this site? Here's How:
The first step is for you to edit the video. We recommend that the file size be less than 15 MB, but exceptions are made. (Often times it is best to compress the video and use a lower resolution.) Once edited, have the video hosted. When having it hosted, ensure that we will be able to save the video file - some free hosting services do not allow this. By doing this, it enables us to host the video on our server. Next, send an e-mail to ContactUs@GoAheadTakeTheWheel.com with a link to the video, your name, location you were racing, and any other information you feel applicable such as the name of the club or event.
This site will periodically be updated with new videos. Please note: we may not be able to host all videos received and reserve the right to decline posting video for any reason.
Club Racing Videos:
This video is from Dave Gran’s Improved Touring B Honda Prelude at Lime Rock Park’s 2007 North Atlantic Road Racing Championships. I think it’s a pretty cool video, although I’m a bit biased. (13.0 MB)
Ooops! I was able to gain a decent lead over the rest of the ITB pack, then decided to make things a bit more interesting by spinning the car. My wife just happened to be at the corner what the action happened and video taping. Dave’s Mid Ohio Spin Video
Who said racing in the rain isn’t fun? Going into this race I was a bit nervous as this was would be my first rain race. I honestly didn’t think I was going that fast but kept passing people and wondered what was going on. It turns out I really enjoy driving on the track in the rain! Lime Rock Park Rain Video
If you think that the only great thing about club racing is the time you'll be spending out on the track, you're wrong. It's more than just racing! NASA's HyperFest 2006 (33.6 MB)
